LOVE Kendall County Kids lunch program prepares nutritious, bountiful lunches each weekday during the summer & school breaks for children at risk of being hungry.  During regular school days, these children receive meals through the National School Lunch & School Breakfast Programs.  During non-school periods, like Summer Break, when these meals are not provided, nutritious meals may not be an option.  The lunches are delivered to children participating in local camps & enrichment programs as well as to children living in neighborhoods in need.
LBK Bag Check Booth @ Vintage Market Days

LOVE Kendall County Kids is partnering with Vintage Market Days (VMD) to raise money for our programs. VMD is an upscale, vintage-inspired market featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home decor, outdoor furnishings, consumable yummies, seasonal plantings, and a little more.  Volunteers are needed to staff the bag check booth where people will check their packages while shopping.  Shoppers will pay by donation and the BCC will get 100% of the proceeds!
  • Feel free to sign up for multiple shifts.
  • Youth volunteers can earn service hours.
  • Volunteers must be 16+ to work the booth.  Volunteers under 16 are welcome to come with a parent & work as a family unit.
  • Volunteers get FREE entry to the Vintage Market Days event.
Check in at the ticket table at the entry to the event.  Ask for Beth Webster, if there are any issues.  Beth will stop by the booth to collect the donations at the end of each day.
2023 Walmart Fill- the-Cart Food Drive

  • Stay tuned for our next Fill the Cart event!
  • We will set everything up.
  • Volunteers will provide shoppers with shopping lists as they enter the store and collect donated items as they exit.  
  • This event will be mostly about supporting our local Head Start program and RMYA/Meadowland
It's a great opportunity to serve with your children and have them serve other children!

LOVE My Community Workdays include volunteers working alongside homeowners for repairs & cleanup, coordinating children’s games & activities, and a shared meal with the volunteers & neighborhood families. We do this to provide safe and livable homes and neighborhoods for our local children. Stay tuned for our next Community Workday Sign Up.
